This ministry, in conjunction with the Olathe School District, helps to save food (entrée only) that is discarded every day at the 5 High Schools and the 10 Middle Schools. This food will be delivered to local food pantries to be shared with families in need.
We are in need of volunteers to arrive at the school at 1:45 PM to pickup 4 aluminum half pans of food, then deliver those to Salvation Army or Starfish Project (both in Olathe). If you can only volunteer 1 day of the week, that is great. It will not require a large amount of time and will only take place when school is in session.
