There are many different musical groups at POP that are currently seeking musicians to join them. Please contact the leader of the group that you are interested in joining for more information.
St. Gregory Choir
- Accepts all singers from High School to Senior Citizens. No Audition.
- The Choir sings 3 times a month. 1st Sunday=9:00; 2nd Sunday=9:00; 3rd=Off; 4th Sunday 9:00 (if 5 Sundays in month - 9:00 Mass)
- Rehearsals are every Thursday evening at 7:30 in the church.
- The St. Gregory choir sings 4 part SATB music.

The Sunrise Choir
This group sings at the 7:30 am Mass on the 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays. We do parts as possible. The leader is Ed Szubka at 913-908-0945.
5pm Saturday Mass
On the 2nd , 4th and 5th Saturdays of the month, a group of musicians led by Ann King leads the music – anniev624@gmail.com.
11am Musicians
A group of instrumentalists and vocalists that support the congregational singing during mass. Anyone is welcome to join. Rehearsals are immediately prior to mass at 10:00am. This group ministers at the 11am mass every week except for the 2 nd and 5 th Sundays of the month. Interested? Contact Melissa Jakmouj at mjakmouj@popolathe.org.
9am Musicians
This group meets for the 9am Mass on the 3rd Sunday of the month. All instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome. The leader is Ed Szubka at 913-908-0945.
Youth Choir and Children’s Choir
There are new music groups for the younger members (grades 1 – 12) of our parish being formed currently, under the direction of Melissa Jakmouj. Please contact Melissa at mjakmouj@popolathe.org for more information.
